WinterWest 2012 is finally here! You’ve come to the right place for all the details you’ll need to participate in the festivities this January and February.
WinterWest 2012 will run from January 27 – February 12 at Richmond Park.
Unfortunately, due to the unseasonably warm weather, the ice rinks are not open yet. Check back regularly for updates on the status of the ice! The Richmond Park Winter Rush and Cardboard Sled Competition are STILL ON for January 28 and 29, respectively. We hope to see you there!
Here is the line-up of events for WinterWest 2012:
Saturday, January 28 - Opening Ceremony, 10:30 am
Saturday, January 28 – Richmond Park Winter Rush, a NEW event of WinterWest – Race time 11 am
Saturday, January 28 – Cardboard available for pick-up at the warming shelter for Crazy Cardboard Sled Competition
Saturday, January 28 – “Make a Clay Valentine” Workshop, brought to you by kate lewis Ceramics – 10 am – 1 pm
Sunday, January 29 – Crazy Cardboard Sled Competition – 3 pm on the Hill
Sunday, January 29 – “Make a Clay Valentine” Workshop, brought to you by kate lewis Ceramics – 2 – 5 pm
Saturday, February 4 – Broomball Tournament, 9 pm (CHANGE OF LOCATION and TIME – click for details)
The following events have been cancelled due to weather:
Tuesday, February 7 – Griffins Skate – come skate with Griff and Griffins Hockey players! – 3:30 – 4:30 pm
Tuesday, February 7 – “Make a Clay Valentine” Workshop, brought to you by kate lewis Ceramics – 3 – 5 pm
Saturday, February 11 – WinterWest 3-on-3 Hockey Tournament, begins at 1 pm

WinterWest is a celebration of Winter in West Michigan! The inaugural WinterWest was held January 28 – February 13 at Richmond Park on Grand Rapids’ Westside. It consisted of a series of events aimed at getting people out to enjoy the weather!
