WinterWest 2013 is finally here! You’ve come to the right place for all the details you’ll need to participate in the festivities this January and February.
WinterWest 2013 will run from January 25 – February 10 at Richmond Park.
NOTE: Unfortunately, both rinks are now out of commission due to warm weather, rain, and piles of snow. We hope you’ll still come out to enjoy Richmond’s sledding hill, and we’ll see you Sunday at the Winter Tree Walk!
Here is the line-up of events for WinterWest 2013:
Saturday, January 26 - Opening Ceremony, 10:30 am
Sunday, January 27 - Crazy Cardboard Sled Competition (CANCELED – see note below) – 3 pm on the Hill
Saturday, February 2 - Richmond Park Winter Rush 5k – register online - Race time 11 am
Sunday, February 3 – FatBikeGRR Bike Race, presented by Central District Cyclery – register online – Race time 1:30 pm
Saturday, February 9 - WinterWest 3-on-3 Hockey Tournament, (CANCELED due to warm weather/poor ice conditions)
Sunday, February 10 - Winter Tree ID Walk, with Friends of GR Parks Tree Guru Lee Mueller, 2 – 3:30 pm
NOTE: Due to unforeseen insurance requirements, we were forced to OFFICIALLY CANCEL the Crazy Cardboard Sled Competition for this year. All other activities of WinterWest are as scheduled at this point. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding! We look forward to seeing you at the Park for the rest of WinterWest 2013!
